Honest, that's me. I'm never gonna change who I am just because of what people think. Carma solves everything in the end, watch out.

Frost with Lilac's

Brief plot synopsis
The man she loved and who she was engaged to has left her and ran of with her best friend. She constantly is thinking about what others would say and societies view.

Where did you get them from? E.g. from the internet
I found this monologue in a collection of female monolgues in the school drama department.

Why did you considered the piece?
Though her heart is breaking she is forcing back tears and trying to keep her pain hidden. Not only that but the betrayal she feels for her friend

How does it show your strengths as a performer?
I believe that I have the ability to create the 3D character of her as she is hurt and retrayed but she is also trying to hide it. I would achieve this by every time she says "her" in the monolgue I would say it through gritted teath and cringe it off after.
Why did you eventually choose or not choose this audition piece?
I decided no to do this piece becuae it didn't contrast a great deal to a monolgue that I deffinatly wanted to do though the subject matters were different.

What would be the contrast between this piece and others you have chosen?
This character seems strong but also tries to hide her emotions which would deffinatly contrast to the monolgue about a wife ranting and shouting at her husband.
